How our obedience classes work:   We offer a pre-registration drop-in style of class.  We ask that you pre-register at least 24 hours in advance, classes are on a space-available basis.  Register early to ensure space as we keep our classes small.  We recommend you come as often as possible, (we recommend weekly) especially for the puppies as they change so fast.  It is at our trainer’s discretion when they are ready to move up into the next class.  All credits on packages must be used by 5-21-24 as packages are being discontinued.  No refunds will be issued, if there is a possibility that you cannot use up the 5-classes by 5-21-24, please plan to register & pay as you go!

If you have questions on which class your pup should attend, don’t hesitate to e-mail us at contact@creatingforeverdogs.com or fill out our information form to give us more information on your needs!

How to register:  click on any class and then Sign Up, the next screen will ask if you are a New Client-if so, create an account.  This is where all of your class registrations, payments, package credits, and other info will be accessible to you. Pay for your class through our Paypal account (you may use any credit card.)  If you are wanting to purchase a package, complete that transaction and then go back in to register for your class, click on the “use credit” button to use one of your package credits.

In the future, it should be easy to quickly register for classes.

Puppy Myths Workshop Littleton CO

Puppy Success From Day 1! Workshop $40.00

Do you have a new puppy and want to start out on the right foot? So much has changed over the years in regards to puppy socialization and other things that we wanted to educate new puppy owners on some of the things you can start on Day 1 of getting your new pup! Most puppies are too young to join a puppy class right away and this will help you get on the right track and help prepare you for the Puppy Primer class.

This workshop is for pet owners only as we want you to start ASAP and your puppy might not be fully protected by vaccinations or may not have the confidence quite yet to interact with other pet personalities or puppy play!

Many topics will be discussed including; the Power of 3’s, Consistency, Fear Periods, Over-stimulation, Never Too Early & Socialization.  We focus on the importance of Bonding & Confidence Building. We will go over Growth & Nutrition, Hygiene, & Crate Training within these topics. We will also have a Socialization Checklist Handout and a Q & A time for all those new puppy questions.

Ditch Your Retractable Leash

Puppy Preschool* $40.00

A fun class limited to puppies from 9 to 15 weeks old – before they go into the Primary Classes!  This time is not focused on obedience. These are puppies learning to LEARN from humans, building confidence & coordination.  Socializing the pups to different people, dogs, flooring textures, sounds, etc.  We believe that puppies can start learning as soon as their eyes open and they can hear! They are capable of some easy structured learning by the time they are 6 weeks old, and certainly by the time they come home!  This is an important learning window for you and your pup–don’t delay!

Once your puppy is happy, healthy & confident, we recommend a quality, controlled class that isn’t chaotic and overwhelming for your puppy. A bad experience can set them back and affect their learning, maturity & socialization.

*This is a pre-register drop-in class, come every week or as often as you can!

Puppy Primer School

Intro to K-9 Scent Work-6 weeks Cost $189

Scent Detection Work is something that dogs of all ages can participate in from puppies to senior dogs. Even a physically challenged dog can participate in this sport. Each dog/Human team will develop its own search style.

For these classes, dogs will need to be familiar with a leash and it is of great benefit for a dog to be crate-trained and/or okay with being left alone in the car (weather permitting). One dog at a time is being asked to work and you will learn a lot about reading dogs from watching the other dogs work.

This course is an introduction to canine scent detection. You will be introduced to proper handling of scented articles, learning how to start your dog out on the basics of scent detection as well as building motivation to search.

*** A beginning scent work kit is required that I put together for an additional $17.00 cash or check for the kit, this way everyone is starting out with the same scent, the same type of scent containers,  decoy containers, etc.  (the $17.00 just covers what I have in it).

Intro To Clicker Training $59.00  (includes a Clicker!)

Session 1: No Dogs, Please; This class introduces the Why and How to introduce the clicker to your training.   You will learn how to “load the clicker”, and timing, and you will practice with each other.  We will discuss building a treat/reward motivation in your dog.  Homework!

Session 2: Bring your dog or puppy: You will have worked on your homework which means your dog should, without you saying a word, look for your treat reward when it hears the click.  We will work on   Action = Click = Reward!  You will learn beginning actions to work on including Watch & Touch.

Food Sensitivity Testing Clinic  $55

Does your pet have hot spots, redness, itching, or ear infections? Chronic GI issues?
Sue uses Bio-resonance therapy to test over 70 food allergens.  Increasing nutrition is always the first step on the road to a healthier pet!   We can guide you to choose foods and/or supplements that will help decrease the symptoms that your pet may be experiencing.

What is bio-resonance?  Bio-resonance food testing is a quick method of testing energy fields for dislikes of foods using small food vials and a form of muscle testing with your animal.  Your dog or cat does not even need to be touched during the session.  It is a totally no-touch, pain-free way of eliminating certain food offenders that may be creating your animals’ skin and behavior issues!  Sue Troglio from Unleashed Energy will test over 70 items!  It is not like your traditional blood test for allergies.  Combined with some counseling on what may lurk in your pets’ diet or home the results can be profound.  The cost is $55 with a $15 deposit.

Rattlesnake Avoidance For Dogs Workshop $169

Springtime brings the birds chirping, the sun shining, and time to get out with your dog and enjoy the great outdoors. Unfortunately, this also means that you may be joined by all sorts of other critters some of which can be quite dangerous to you and your pet.

This three-part workshop includes a recorded webinar AND then attending the two 2-hour hands-on workshops to practice skills.

Please note:  This workshop introduces the steps that it takes for your pet to alert you to the object (in this case a snake).  You will need to continue to work on these steps that build upon each other to reach the place of predictable reaction.  Positive reinforcement is a process.  There are no live snakes in class.  If your pet is reactive to other dogs, please consider an “audit” spot where you will learn the process and can work at home on the steps introduced.

Please bring: Plenty of HIGH-VALUE training treats that your dog loves!

This is typically offered in the Spring and Fall.

In the workshop we will address:

  • Snake Identification
  • Rattlesnake Safety
  • What to train your dog to do when they find a rattlesnake
  • Get the training process started

COST:  $169 with your dog

Audit Spot  (attend without your dog) Please contact us.

Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Testing $29.00

Canine Good Citizen is part of the AKC Family Dog Program and many dog owners choose CGC as their first step in qualifying their dogs for further work in disciplines such as therapy dog, competition obedience, agility, other dog sports, etc. Even some homeowner’s insurance companies encourage CGC testing, and an increasing number of apartments and condos require that resident dogs pass the CGC test. Learn more about Canine Good Citizen.

Fran has been a CGC Evaluator since 2003.

If you are attending one of our classes and are interested in a CGC test, please let her know. We can give the test to anyone that is interested as well. We schedule these on an as-needed basis. Fran can coach you to let you know what you & your pet may need to work on and allows you to take a retake test once for no additional charge. Please contact us for more information on CGC Testing.

FAQ:

Do you guarantee results?

We cannot guarantee results AND we can tell you that if you are consistent and the entire family is on board with working together, your pet does want to learn & please you! Some dogs just learn more easily than others. Every dog is different with different learning styles, motivations, and sensitivity levels and their drive to work is all different. If you are struggling—we are here to help you! We are happy to help in any way we can to ensure everyone’s success!

Can my dog use a harness?

In most instances, we prefer to use a regular collar. If your dog has medical reasons for the use of a harness such as a collapsing trachea, we can recommend some brands that do not hinder their gait or create joint issues and are fitted properly.

What is a rolling class?

We know that dogs learn in different ways and at different speeds.  We want to make sure you and your pet will be successful in their learning, versus pushing them through in a certain number of weeks.  This also makes it less impactful if you miss a class, as we will be revisiting and practicing skills in a future session.  We also know that the work done at home can advance learning quickly and we don’t want to hold any of those “over-achievers” back!  Your instructor will let you know when you are ready to advance to the next class.

What if I miss a class?

Many of our classes are rolling, which means that we will revisit topics missed.  We can spend a few minutes practicing the previous week’s topics.   Sorry, no refunds can be given since your space in the class was reserved.

Can I purchase multiple classes instead of one at a time?

Yes!  The classes marked with an asterisk are rolling classes.  Individual classes are $40.  We have discounted packages available.  If you would like to purchase a 5-pack or a 10-pack, please email us at contact@creatingforeverdogs.com and we will send you a payment link.  You must still register for each class that you want to attend so that we can keep our classes small.  We encourage you to explore different classes to see what your dog loves to learn about!  (Helpful Hint: When purchasing a package, complete that transaction first, then go back in to register for our class and you should be able to use your credits.  If they do not show, please refresh your browser.)

How much time should be required outside of class?

Every dog and family dynamic is different and has different experience levels and learning curves. We recommend you spend 2-3 sessions (10-20 minutes) each day with the length of the training time depending upon the age and attention span of your pet. Consistency is key! If you can do more short sessions, you will be rewarded with quicker results! We want this to be fun for them, and therefore you will have fun too.

Why take a Pet Emergency Preparedness class?

First, you can’t call Doggy 911 in most areas.  Our pets can’t tell us what may be wrong and once they start showing symptoms they can be pretty darn sick.  This class teaches us how to identify a true emergency and then how best to treat it until we can seek veterinary care.
Thanks again for another great training a couple of weekends ago! I really appreciate you letting me re-certify now. I recommended it to a couple of other pet sitters I know.  Oh, just a few nights ago, one of my client’s dogs (3 yr old Maltese) was vomiting a lot and when I saw pale gums, I took him in to a vet for some fluids. He’s doing fine now.”  Read more testimonials about our classes below.

Who should take a Pet First Aid Class?

This class is for anyone who puts their hands on fur during the course of a day!  Whether you are a cat or dog owner, pet sitter, groomer, dog trainer, pet boarding facility employee, volunteer, foster family, animal control officer, veterinary technician, etc.

What if I am unable to take the class after I register?

If you are unable to take the class, please notify us as soon as possible.  We can transfer your registration to a class in the future but unfortunately, we do not give refunds.
