A Lifesaver!

Fran has been a lifesaver since the opening of Creating Forever Dogs during this COVID shutdown. The facility in Littleton has provided a "safe" place to serve as an alternative place to work with my COVID puppy (impacted by no indoor classes, limited places to practice greetings and social skills, decreased change of scenery and novel experiences). I do train positively, but Fran has shared from her experience points of view and suggestions that have helped me problem solve thru some challenges that my girl presents. So yes---her experience and positive philosophy have been both impactful and invaluable! Both my Briar-Rose and I love working with Fran‼️🐾😊💞

We Love Fran!

We have been working with Fran since we rescued our blue heeler mix, Ari in August. Ari was about 4 months at that time and I had no clue how to train a puppy.

We started in puppy classes and learned so much! I enjoy working with Ari daily to reinforce what she learns in class. We recently started our 3rd level of classes and Ari is loving it! She gets excited every time we pull into the parking lot and can't wait to get in the door to see Fran.

I also appreciate that Fran has come by the house for a one-on-one walk with Ari.

I can't say enough good things about Fran and her approach to training!

The best trainer ever! Thank you Fran!

I turned to Fran when we rescued 8 month old mini pin Pepe. Although he was a wonderful puppy he lacked basic obedience. We started with private sessions at our home and boy after one session we could see the difference. Fran’s calm demeanor, knowledge, wisdom and patience helped us to learn how to handle our crazy puppy. My main issue with Pepe is that he pulls on the leash and goes from right to left in the most unexpected moments and having both busted ankles is very dangerous for me and Fran’s technique helped already tremendously. It’s work in progress but with all of us being committed to succeed, I know we get there!
Honestly, I don’t know what I would do without Fran’s knowledge and guidance!
Fran you are awesome and you rock!

Thank you so much Emily--you are the one doing the hard work and it is paying off! Lil Pepe is doing so well. Great job!

Pepper’s Favorite Person

Six years ago I adopted Pepper from Freedom Service Dogs. Even though he was not one of her dogs Fran stepped in to help me with him. Over the years she has advised, made suggestions, worked with him, and cared for him when I had to be away all day. When she drives up he recognizes who is here and happily runs around doing his circle dance until she comes inside, then he jumps at the door knowing she is here for him not me. He looks at the door then at Fran who knows his rules and will soon toss a tennis ball for him. When Pepper is around Fran he is in his happy place and is eager to do whatever she wants him to do. We both feel lucky that Fran has been part of our lives.

Barb, Pepper is so lucky to have you! You have done an amazing job.

Fran at Creating Forever Dogs has been so helpful in training my dog Belle! Through the classes, Belle has become more socialized and able to respond to commands more quickly and without distraction by the other dogs in the class. She has such a calm and easy demeanor and makes class fun and enjoyable!

Thank you so much, Leslie & Belle! Your hard work is paying off!

Thank you, Fran!

When our tiny (3-1/2 pound) Cavalier puppy Tessa turned out to be somewhat of an unexpected handful, we turned to Fran for help. Fran's calm, patient, wise advice made all the difference in the world. She has helped us with behavioral issues and taught us activities to keep Tessa's mind and body busy.

Our now 15-month-old, 15 pound puppy is a sweet, loving, obedient, and precious member of our family and much of that is due to Fran. Because of Covid, we weren't able to attend Fran's puppy classes, but I'm very excited that Tessa and I will soon be attending a class with Fran for young adult dogs.

Tessa and I both appreciate your help, Fran, and greatly enjoy working with you. Thank you so much!

This is what training should look like!

My Great Dane and I have had so much fun taking classes with Fran! Her facility is beautiful and clean. She recognizes the needs of each dog and owner in her training programs and gracefully applies her vast knowledge and experience, even in the group setting.

We started with the puppy socialization classes at 11 weeks and have attended nearly every week since (for months) because we LOVE going and we see results. The classes are fun and educational; she teaches you how to train your dog.

Fran uses lots of positive reinforcement, common sense and relationship building and helps the dogs learn to be engaged, confident, happy, and to work beautifully (and enthusiastically) around distractions.

My Dane sees the parking lot when we pull in and immediately lights up; tail wagging, bright eyes, happy face. That's how you know it's right. He is a huge and very strong dog, walks beautifully on a flat collar and receives tons of compliments in public for his behavior (even from other trainers he's met while out and about).

Stick with it and she'll help your dog move well past the basic puppy skills. Training should be fun, not a chore, and should never involve intimidation or a heavy hand. Fran inspires owners to do more with their dogs and to teach them how to be great pets. She also throws in body awareness (where are my paws?), a little canine fitness (keep those feet strong!), and some fun tricks to challenge their brains.

I recommend her highly for people with new puppies (start classes now, before behavior problems pop up!), rescue dogs and absolutely for dogs that have reactivity, anxiety, poor social skills or other behavior problems.

Fran is amazing.

Excellent resource!

I have taken two classes from Fran Menley, Pet Tech Training and Fun and Fitness for Dogs. The classes were fun and most importantly, informative. Fran has become my "go to" dog consultant whenever I or anyone I know has an issue with a pet dog. She has a wealth of experience, knowledge and tricks up her sleeve that make training and living with a dog so much more enjoyable!

Thank you so much!!!

I brought our Molly, our puppy mill rescue, in for a food intolerance test. She has suffered from skin allergies since the day we brought her home. I felt it must be a protein intolerances but wanted to find out exactly. While she does have some protein intolerances, the biggest problem turned out to be pass, chickpeas, lentils, ryams, rice, alfalfa, salmon oil, etc. It is pretty hard to find a food without some of those ingredients, but we have now put her on totally raw diet and are hopeful that we will be able to help her improve her immunity. She suffered for 7 yaars living in a wire cage having puppies constantly. She deserves the best second half we can give her. 'we are just so thrilled that you have brought this kind of help to everyone who needs to find help for their family fur babies. So thank you Dawn and think you Sue for providing such a wonderful testing method . Learned so much and could not be happier to know I have the power to help our little Molly become whole again. THANK YOU!!!!

Dog Training Littleton CO

I have owned 4 Portuguese Water Dogs over the past 20 years.

I have used many different trainers during that time, and I have to say that Fran is by far the best. She has been training for decades, She is calm, knowledgeable, kind compassionate and humble. She says she trains no two dogs exactly alike as they are individuals. I appreciate her creativity, quick thinking and honesty.
